Isodrink è un integratore a base di polimeri del glucosio (maltodestrine di mais) che inducono un’alta risposta glicemica, indicati negli sport di resistenza, e fruttosio, integrati con i principali elettroliti: magnesio, sodio, potassio, cloruri e bicarbonati e con la vitamina C.
- Il sodio interviene attivamente nel trasporto del glucosio. E’ essenziale nel trattamento della disidratazione perché aiuta a trattenere l’acqua.
- Il potassio contribuisce al mantenimento di una normale funzione muscolare e neurologica. Il rapporto molare sodio/potassio è conforme a quello raccomandato dalla organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità (WHO) per le soluzioni reidratanti orali (ORS) standard (= 4,5).
- Il magnesio interviene positivamente nel mantenimento del bilancio elettrolitico e del metabolismo energetico, nella trasmissione nervosa, nella sintesi proteica e nella contrazione muscolare inclusa quella del muscolo cardiaco e nella riduzione della stanchezza e della fatica.
- Cloruri e bicarbonati reintegrano i principali anioni extracellulali consumati rispettivamente con il sudore e nella neutralizzazione dell’acido lattico.
- La vitamina C esercita un’azione protettiva sulle proteine, incluso il collagene delle articolazioni sottoposte a sforzi intensi, e sui lipidi dal danno ossidativo, contribuisce al normale funzionamento del sistema nervoso e immunitario durante e dopo un esercizio fisico estremo, favorisce l’assorbimento del ferro, costituente essenziale dell’emoglobina, e un normale metabolismo energetico negli esercizi fisici intensi.
- Isodrink è indicato nella preparazione di bibite energetiche isotoniche per reintegrare rapidamente ed efficacemente i più importanti sali perduti, consentendo un pronto recupero, in condizioni quali: sudorazione intensa, modesta disidratazione dovuta per esempio a condizioni climatiche o ad un’attività fisica intensa e prolungata.
- L’assunzione di Isodrink prima durante e dopo esercizi prolungati con intensi sforzi muscolari contrasta i fattori maggiormente coinvolti nell’insorgenza della fatica permettendo di migliorare la prestazione.
